Pancakes for Mom
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of white sugar
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Form a well in the center of the mixture and pour in milk, egg and oil. Mix until smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high. Pour a quarter cup of the batter per pancake.
- Brown on both sides and serve hot.
- Optional (for non-Canadians): Top with a generous amount of maple syrup.
